BELLINGHAM, Wash. — This weekend is another opportunity for you to get rid of expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs at National Drug Take Back Day.
Law enforcement agencies across Whatcom County will accept them for free, no questions asked, from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday.
Find drop off spots at the police departments in Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, on the Lummi Reservation and with the sheriff’s department at the North Fork Library on Kendall Road.
The DEA says disposing of old medications helps reduce drug abuse.
For their take back event in April, they collected almost 950,000 pounds across 5,842 collection sites nationwide.
