BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police are investigating after they found a body in Squalicum Creek on Tuesday, December 14th.
Police Lt. Claudia Murphy says officers were called to 1000 block of Squalicum Parkway after someone saw what they believed was a body in the creek.
Officers confirmed there was a deceased male between 45-50 years of age in the water.
With the assistance of Search and Rescue from the Sheriff’s Office, the deceased male was recovered from the creek.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
