BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police are looking for a suspect in an attempted robbery at the Starvin Sam’s Convenience Store on 12th Street in Fairhaven Tuesday night.
Lt. Danette Beckley says a man entered the store wearing a black mask just before 10 p.m. and demanded money.
She says the clerk started a conversation with the suspect, who then displayed a knife.
But the man then left the store without any money.
Beckley says a K-9 tracking unit found a knife, mask and clothing that matched the clerk’s description nearby, but couldn’t locate the suspect.
He’s described as a young, thin, white male about six feet tall.
