BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police have provided an update on a robbery that occurred last week.
Lt. Claudia Murphy says that around 3:30 Wednesday morning, two men entered the 7-11 on Alabama and Yew Streets.
18-year-old Jabez Singleton of North Carolina pointed a gun at the cashier’s head, demanding cash, cigarettes, and scratch off tickets.
As the clerk was held at gunpoint, 18-year-old Alexander Hughes of Seattle jumped the counter, grabbed several other items, and left the store with Singleton.
The pair were caught in a getaway vehicle not far from the scene.
31-year-old Joshua Whitney of Everett and a 17-year-old girl were also found in the car and both were taken into custody as accomplices to the crime.
All 4 individuals remain behind bars.
