Police say bomb threat at WWU was not credible

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University police say a recent threat made against the school is not credible.

Police said that the bomb threat was made Friday night, September 10th on Discord, an online communications platform.

Investigators believe the suspect was banned from the platform, but returned with a new username to make the threat against Bond Hall.

The building is now being monitored by additional security after being closed for the weekend.

University Police added that no suspicious items were found in Bond Hall after the threat was reported.
