BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Suspicious circumstances surround the investigation of the fire at Hohl Feed and Seed Monday.
The 2-alarm fire directly affected several businesses on the 1300-block of Railroad Avenue and destroyed the historic feed store.
The City of Bellingham says an investigation team from the Bellingham Police and Fire Departments determined it was started outside of the building in the alley and nothing indicated an accidental start.
After examining the scene and reviewing security video they said a person apparently started the fire.
They’re asking the community for help in identifying who was in the alley.
If you have any information about the fire or if you were in the area and saw anyone in the alleyway, please contact Detective Kelsh at 360-778-8690 or the Bellingham Police Tip Line at 360-778-8611.
Tips can also be sent in electronically.
