OLYMPIA, Wash. — Although murmurs of a presidential run from Governor Inslee have been floating around since last presidential election, he was left off of the authoritative Des Moines Register poll of Democrat prospects for 2020.

KOMO reports former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Bernie Sanders and Texas Representative Beto O’Rourke are the favorites, with Biden taking a commanding 33% of the vote.

About half of those polled want an experienced politician, while 36% want new blood.

O’Rourke gained popularity during his failed campaign for Senator Ted Cruz’s seat in Texas.

So far, no one has officially or concretely committed to running as the Democrat presidential nominee.
