KENDALL, Wash. – Expect stagnant air to continue Monday with an advisory in effect until noon.

The Department of Ecology said air quality is good in much of Whatcom County, but warns air near Kendall and Maple Falls is currently considered unhealthy.

The National Weather Service said dry conditions, light winds and poor mixing is trapping pollutants near the surface which is affecting the air quality.

Dry, chilly and stagnant conditions are expected until Thursday when a new system will bring rain.
