BELLINGHAM, Wash. — For the second time in as many weeks, part of the Hertz Trail at Lake Whatcom Park is closed.
Whatcom County Parks & Recreation announced the closure at the 1.25-mile trail marker due to an active slide and debris on the trail.
Park staff will monitor the situation daily and cleanup will begin when it’s safe.
The trail had just reopened one week ago following a February 20th slide, and will once again remain closed until further notice.
