BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A popular Bellingham beach has closed for restoration work.
The Port of Bellingham said that as of Monday, July 25th, Little Squalicum Beach Park will be closed for the next several months.
Crews will be improving the park’s shoreline by removing debris, including wood waste and concrete slabs, and creating habitat space for salmon to feed.
The Washington State Department of Ecology is funding the project with a $1.5 million grant.
