Port of Bellingham Marine Life Center hosts virtual scavenger hunt on local beaches

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — You can keep the kiddos busy while learning about local marine life in a scavenger hunt put on by the Port of Bellingham.

The Marine Life Center is producing the online-based scavenger hunt which will encourage you to explore intertidal marine life across Whatcom County at Birch Bay State Park, Boulevard Park, Fairhaven Marine Park, and Larrabee State Park.

Using a free mobile app called GooseChase, participants can take photos and send in responses to earn points and prizes.

The event takes place August 18th and 19th.
