BELLINGHAM, Wash. — It’s a good idea to check your trees or bushes to make sure they haven’t overgrown their boundaries.
The city of Bellingham reminds property owners that it’s their responsibility to trim vegetation so it doesn’t block traffic signs, sidewalks, the ability to see cross traffic or cause other problems or safety hazards.
Failing to trim overgrowth could require the city to take care of it at the owner’s expense.
And you can report overgrowth that’s not on your property.
Email AskPW@cob.org or call the Public Works Department at (360) 778-7700.
