STANWOOD, Wash. – A convicted felon from Stanwood faces up to ten years in prison for ordering his wife and other relatives to buy guns and ammunition for him.
Robert Stanard was convicted of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition in federal court in Seattle Thursday.
Prosecutors say Stanard ordered his wife to buy an AR-15 and a handgun and ammunition for him.
He also used parts he bought on-line to build a silencer for one of the weapons.
Stanard had served 10 years in prison for plotting to bomb a Port Angeles motel in 2004.
