LYNDEN, Wash. — Even though Governor Inslee has started to relax some restrictions on businesses and outdoor activities, he’s not moving fast enough for some area residents.

People drove around Lynden Saturday in what organizers called a “Freedom Parade.”

Michal Handy talked to KING 5 while showing her support along Main Street, saying she’s standing firm and not “drinking the Kool Aid.”

And in Sedro-Woolley the mayor posted a message after a woman was arrested for tearing down warning tape and closed signs from a park playground.

Kimberley Taxdahl says on her Facebook page she’s “one fed up Grammie” who’s standing up for parents’ rights to determine what’s best for their kids.

Officers arrested her after she tore down the warnings last Thursday and offered cotton candy to kids who came to play.

Mayor Julia Johnson asks in her post if people feel the need to protest they do it in ways that don’t endanger others.
