BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Mayor Seth Fleetwood’s home and the police station were targeted by vandals Friday night.
Lieutenant Claudia Murphy reports protesters spread garbage on Fleetwood’s South Hill lawn and painted graffiti on a fence and the street in front of his home.
Protesters also caused an estimated $2500 of damage to the Bellingham Police Department Building by throwing eggs, painting graffiti and breaking a window.
Murphy says the general message of the sometimes-profane graffiti regarded homelessness.
Police are working to identify suspects.
