WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Thousands of Whatcom County residents lost power in Friday’s wind and rain storm and some suffered for much of the weekend without it.
Whatcom Emergency Management reported that 7500 Puget Sound Energy customers were without electricity on Saturday morning, September 18th.
Puget Sound Energy crews worked through the day, but many in pockets around Whatcom County, including in Bellingham’s Geneva Neighborhood, were in the dark well into Saturday night.
Some report on social media that they didn’t have power restored until Sunday.
Puget Sound Energy reports that all customers have their power back on by Monday morning, September 20th.
