FRIDAY HARBOR, Wash – Puget Sound has lost another orca whale.
The Kitsap Sun reports that the July 1 census be the Center for Whale Research confirms resident Orca K13 “Skagit” as deceased.
Skagit was a 45 year old female.
Her passing brings the number of critically endangered southern resident orcas to 77.
