SEATTLE, Wash. — At least one person was bitten by a rabid bat at University of Washington and multiple people were likely exposed to it.
Public Health officials say the bat was found behind Husky Stadium Saturday where it bit a person and latched onto their fingers.
Rabies is almost always fatal once symptoms develop, but can be prevented if a vaccine is given soon after the wound.
