BELLINGHAM, Wash. — It was a rainy weekend and it did us a lot of good when it comes to our air quality.

Washington’s air is primarily in good condition, with all of Whatcom County breathing clean air as of Monday, according the Air Monitoring Network.

The National Weather Service says although the rain wasn’t enough to be of any substantial help in the fight against wildfires, it managed to clear out smoke throughout the state and up into Canada.

The forecast calls for a reprieve from the smoke for much of this week as long as Tuesday’s airflow coming down from Canada follows its current trajectory and sends any smoke out over the water.
