BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Because of all the rain western Washington has had lately, we are at an increased risk for landslides.
The National Weather Service says the lowlands and foothills have seen rainfall of up to 2-to-5-inches, bringing the soil moisture to high levels.
It says while only light rain is expected Tuesday, it could be enough to trigger more landslides.
The elevated threat should lessen over the coming days.
