BELLINGHAM, Wash. –  Bellingham Police responded to a series of crimes in recent days.

In a Facebook post, the department says officers responded to a report of a stabbing near downtown on Thursday evening.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries to their rib cage and a K-9 unit tracked a suspect down near Whatcom Creek.

Also that evening a man was taken into custody for assaulting an employee of his business with a shovel.

Another business was robbed at knife-point early Friday, and a woman threatening to kill an infant Saturday evening used a knife to injure two adults who intervened.

On Sunday officers were able to de-escalate a situation involving a woman with a knife who was damaging a vehicle.

They are also working to identify a suspect in an armed robbery Sunday afternoon.
