BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Increased levels of biotoxins were discovered on all Whatcom County beaches.
The State Department of Health officially closed recreational shellfish harvest in the county.
Biotoxin levels can change quickly, and the Whatcom County Health Department routinely tests local shellfish to monitor them.
