OLYMPIA, Wash. — A registration error may have impacted up to 1,000 Washington voters.
The Seattle Times reports the issue occurred with those who registered at Washington’s health plan website, which gives users an option to register when they sign up for coverage.
Officials believe the problem started in August when the Washington Health Benefit Exchange underwent a system upgrade that caused registration information to be sent to the incorrect Secretary of State account.
State health officials have solved the issue and are calling and emailing people that are potentially affected.
Anyone unsure of their voter status can check it at VoteWA.gov.
