SPOKANE, Wash. – Inmates released to Spokane from state correctional institutions can now receive a Spokane Library card.
In efforts to help eliminate the stigma that hampers inmates from reintegrating back into society, the partnership assists inmates access innumerable resources to help throughout their transition.
The first inmate to recieve a libary card was released on Dec.4. from the Washington Corrections Center for Women.
A similar partnership was recently formed between the State Library and the Seattle Public Library.
