ESPN is reporting the Raiders are currently negotiating with former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch. According to the report, the retired star intends to seek NFL reinstatement if he can play for Oakland.
Seattle still hold Lynch’s rights. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that Lynch has permission from Seattle to talk with the Raiders. He stated that trade talks would begin if Lynch’s agents can rework his existing contract.

Lynch has two years remaining on his deal with the Seahawks. The contract includes a 9-million dollar salary cap hit if he plays in 2017. Beast Mode announced his retirement via Twitter during the 2016 Super Bowl. Seattle put him on the reserve/retired list, thus retaining his rights.
The Raiders are looking for a lead running back after former starter Latavius Murray joined the Minnesota Vikings via free agency.
