SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — Sedro-Woolley residents teamed up to tip off police to a DUI driver last earlier this week.
On their Facebook page, police say multiple witnesses reported seeing a vehicle swerving recklessly and too fast in a residential area where kids were playing, almost crashing into another vehicle head on.
Officers say the man tested at twice the legal limit for alcohol and was booked into Skagit County Jail on DUI and reckless endangerment charges.
The department thanks residents for calling in the tip, and not engaging the driver directly.
