LYNDEN, Wash. — Lynden Watch announced an increase in reward money for information about the vandalism of Million Smiles Playground at Lynden City Park.
In a Facebook post, the group said an additional $500 was pledged by a private source in addition to the original $500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved with the August vandalism.
The Lynden Chamber of Commerce noted in its Facebook post that this type of criminal activity must be stopped and one of the broad range of deterrents is successful prosecution and appropriate consequences.
