MOUNT BAKER, Wash. — Work to clear the road to Artist Point is almost complete.
WSDOT says maintenance crews officially entered their second week of clearing.
Recent sunny weather and a smaller-than-usual snowfall means they’re already almost finished.
WSDOT is currently working with the National Parks Service to determine an opening date for the final 2.7-mile stretch of Mount Baker Highway, which opened June 21st last year.
