A man faces robbery and other charges after police say he held up a coffee stand early last Friday.
Charging documents state that 31-year-old Boyd Duffey walked up to the window at Bigfoot Java on Sunset around 2 a.m. and ordered an iced coffee and two $50 gift cards.
The barista gave him the coffee and gift cards but he then demanded all the money in the cash register.
He didn’t present a weapon but the barista was working alone and, fearing for her safety, gave him the cash on hand.
Duffey fled but officers found and arrested him behind the nearby Safeway store.
