BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham will be invaded by robots next month.
Bellingham High School will host FIRST Washington’s district robotics competition featuring teams from 36 schools.
Seamonster Robotics Coach Heather Steele says it’s a Star Wars theme this year, featuring washing machine sized-robots that will have to perform specific tasks.
Teams will earn points in hopes of advancing to the Northwest Championships and then the World Championships in Houston in April.
The Bellingham High School competition is March 21st and 22nd and is free and open to everyone.
