GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — A chunk of that Space X rocket that burned up in a spectacular evening display in the Northwest last week landed in Eastern Washington.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Department says the Composite-Overwrapped Pressure Vessel landed on private property.
They’re not identifying the property and say that the owner just wants to be left alone.
KOMO reports the sheriff notified Space X, which sent a team to recover the vessel.
A stage of the Falcon 9 rocket burned up in the atmosphere in a light show that was seen in Whatcom County and across the Northwest.
