BELLNGHAM, Wash. -An estimated 2000 persons, many wearing pink hats or carrying protest signs with progressive messages, gathered at Bellingham City Hall Saturday morning for Bellingham’s women’s march,.

Attendance numbered less than last year’s event.

City streets were closed for the mile long route and some food trucks showed up.

The march joined others across the nation, including Seattle where KIRO reported tens of thousand for that event art Capitol Hill,  a number of marchers also less than last year.
