OLYMPIA, Wash. — Small non-farm businesses in Whatcom and Skagit Counties are among those in 13 Washington counties eligible to apply for low-interest federal disaster loans.
Small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private non-profit organizations of any size may qualify for the Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loans for up to $2 million.
The loans are intended to help businesses meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred.
Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at the SBA website.
The deadline to apply is August 18, 2021.
