BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A scam warning for people who use Uber – especially at the Bellingham International airport.
The Better Business Bureau warns that people are posing as Uber and other ride share company drivers and picking up customers at airports in the state.
KOMO News reported these scammers have over-charged customers and even driven off with their luggage.
To protect yourself, the BBB recommends you check the ride share app so you know what make and model of car you’re supposed to be picked up in.
You can also ask the driver who they are suppose to be picking up, if they don’t have your name, leave.
Report any scams to the Better Business Bureau Scam Tracker.
