SEABECK, Wash. – A mother from Kitsap County accused of killing her son will undergo a competency evaluation.
KOMO News reports 47-year-old Amber James is charged with first degree murder in the death of her 9-year-old son.
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office says he died from strangulation.
A judge ordered a mental health evaluation to see whether or not James is competent to stand trial.
