Add former San Francisco 49er running back to the crowded backfield of the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle was awarded Davis off of waivers Monday.

According to Seahawks.com, the 49ers waived the former 4th round, 2015 draft pick May 5th.

Davis played in 14 games over the past two seasons with San Francisco, rushing for 108 yards and 1 touchdown. He starred at the University of South Carolina, rushing for 2,440 yards and 22 touchdowns between 2012-and 2015.

The Seahawks have 9 other running back listed on their roster.  Free agent pick-up and former Green Bay Packer Eddie Lacy and incumbent starter Thomas Rawls are expected to battle it out for the starting tailback job.  C.J. Prosise, Alex Collins, and Troymaine Pope are also vying for playing time, after seeing action in 2016.
