The Seattle Seahawks have signed their top draft pick, defensive tackle Malik McDowell. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Seattle inked the former Michigan State star to a four year deal.
McDowell announced the news via Twitter on Thursday, He posted a video of himself saying, “It’s official, just signed my contract. I’m officially a Seattle Seahawk. Go 12’s.”

McDowell was selected in the 2nd round of the draft with the 35th overall pick. The former Spartan entered the draft after his junior season. He totaled 88 tackles and 7.5 sacks in 32 games at Michigan State.
