Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Paul Richardson suffered a shoulder injury in Sunday’s 48-17 preseason victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. According to Seahawks.com, Richardson sustained an AC sprain.  The injury occurred while Richardson was making a 25-yard, first quarter catch.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll described the injury as kind of self inflicted. “He took off for that ball, it was a great deep ball and he kind of left his feet to go get it and he landed on his shoulder. He got crunched pretty good.”

Carroll did not put a timeline on how long Richardson would be out with the injury.

Richardson left the game after the play. He returned to the sidelines later with his arm in a sling.

Carroll also said safety Jordan Simone injured his ACL and will miss extended time.

The Seahawks play host to the Minnesota Vikings at CenturyLink Field on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm.
