WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – The search for a snowboarder missing at the Mount Baker Ski Area has been suspended.

Sheriff Bill Elfo says weather conditions have made the search too dangerous to continue.

Three feet of snow has fallen at the ski area in just the past two days.

The Sheriff says the search will resume as soon as the weather improves.

Vitaliy Datskiy has been missing since Sunday when he snowboarded into a dangerous area and later failed to meet up with friends.
