BELLINGHAM, Wash. – You could become the next member of the Whatcom County Council.

After winning election to represent the county’s new 2nd District, Todd Donovan resigned from the at-large position he currently occupies.

People interested in filling the position must be a U.S. citizen, a current resident and registered voter in Whatcom County, and hold no other position with county government.

Applications have to be in by noon on December 20th.

The council is expected to fill the position at a special meeting on January 9th.
