SEATTLE, Wash. — A 67-year-old man who operates a sailboat tour business in Seattle was sentenced to nine months in prison and ordered to pay restitution after illegally collecting disability payments for decades.

The Justice Department says Paul LaMarche claimed a back injury severely limited his movement, while at the same time telling the Coast Guard he had no disabilities that would impair his ability to pilot a sailboat.

He even appeared in a TV feature doing yoga on a paddleboard.

LaMarche must pay nearly $325,000 in restitution and civil penalties.
