SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) — The newest baby giraffe at Woodland Park Zoo now has therapeutic shoes to help treat abnormalities in his hind legs.
The baby, which isn’t named yet, was born earlier this month and zookeepers found his feet were not aligned properly, so he was first put in casts.
Woodland Park Zoo says treatment is expected to last several months.
The zoo is all hands on deck as our 5-day-old giraffe is outfitted with custom-made therapeutic shoes in the next phase of his treatment. Get the full update here: https://t.co/mtId6m8faC #TuesdayMotivation #AnimalHealth #GratefulForOurStaff pic.twitter.com/mBmmf4T9Gd
