BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a weekend shooting in downtown Bellingham.

Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy said that 27-year-old Brian Kilete of Blaine was arrested on Monday afternoon, July 18th.

Kilete and 23-year-old Gawain Orcutt are both accused of shooting at people outside of the Underground nightclub Saturday night, July 16th.

Surveillance video shows Orcutt retrieving a gun from a car after getting in a fight in the club’s parking lot.

Orcutt shot a 42-year-old man in the foot, then began shooting at an occupied vehicle.

Shortly after the first round of shots were fired, Kilete began firing at Orcutt.

Kilete ended up striking a 20-year-old man in the leg.

When questioned by officers, Kilete lied and said he didn’t know who fired at the crowd.

Both men face assault, reckless endangerment, and drive-by shooting charges.
