BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom Community College reported its second positive case of COVID-19.
President Kathi Hiyane-Brown says the employee who tested positive works in the Health Professions Education Center and was last on campus March 20th.
They are in self-isolation and recovering.
The HPEC building is closed to everyone at this time and custodians will expand their deep cleaning work there.
Hiyane-Brown says the school isn’t releasing information on people who test positive and ask others who know the person to “respect their privacy so they can focus on their health and not public attention or scrutiny.”
