MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A Sedro-Woolley man was sentenced Wednesday to 7.5 years in prison after a car crash last year that killed a young man and injured his passenger.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports Cameron J. Grove pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and assault.
He also admitted he was drinking before the crash in May 2017 that killed Corey J. Keefe on Highway 20.
A blood test put Grove’s blood alcohol level at .25%, more than three times the legal limit.
The families of both Grove and Keefe, as well as Cameron Grove himself, all spoke before sentencing expressing their grief, while Cameron said he would do “anything to give [Keefe’s family] peace.”
