MOUNT VERNON, Wash – A man is dead after a crash late Friday night near Mount Vernon.

The Washington State Patrol says a Sedro-Woolley man  was driving under the influence when his pickup hit another car, killing its driver.

Cameron Grove, 30, is accused of vehicular homicide in the crash on SR 536 about two miles west of Mount Vernon at Beaver Marsh Road.

Corey Keefe, 23, of Castle Rock, was killed when Grove’s pickup crossed the center line and hit his car head on.

Keefe was not wearing his seat belt, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Keefe’s passenger, Jaycie Randall, 21, of Eastsound, was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital for her injuries.

Grove was also injured, and is being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
