SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — Sedro-Woolley Schools will have a new leader this July.
Dr. Miriam Mickelson is the current Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in the Snohomish School District.
Mickelson replaces Superintendent Phil Brockman who will retire this June after eight years in the position.
The Sedro-Woolley School District said Dr. Mickelson grew up in the Philippines, using education to overcome poverty.
She will begin as Sedro-Woolley Schools Superintendent July 1st.
