Residents in Sedro-Woolley will see an increase in their utility rates come 2018, but property tax rates will remain the same.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports the city plans on raising sewer, storm water and solid waste rates.
The increase will apply to residental and commercial customers.
The city will not increase it’s property tax. Again forgoing a 1 percent raise for the 10th consectutive year.
Mayor Keith Wagoner spoke with the Skagit Valley Herald stating the costs of running the city continue to increase, and revenues have not kept pace.
