The semi-truck crash the snarled traffic for hours Thursday morning south of Bellingham was caused by a truck driver who troopers say was asleep at the wheel.
Heather Axtman with the State Patrol told the Bellingham Herald the semi driver was identified as Daljit Mundi of Delta, B-C.
Axtman says a decision will be made this week on whether to charge Mundi with negligent driving.
