SEQUIM, Wash. (AP) – A lawsuit claims a Sequim church ignored warnings about a now convicted pedophile principal.

KIRO-TV reports that Douglas Allison was at Mountain View Christian School, part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He pleaded guilty last year to molesting two 10-year-old girls.

Attorney Chris Davis represents one of the families.

“She will likely have counseling probably well into her adult life. This is the sort of thing that’s going to affect her ability to have healthy, intimate, long lasting relationships.”

The suit says the school was warned about Allison being too affectionate with students more than six months before his arrest.

The lawsuit also claims at least one student at a school in California, where Allison worked before moving to Washington, says he also molested her.

“Those complaints reached the board for the church, down in California. And we believe the church basically did nothing.”

No comment from the church.
